St Augustine is famous for its detached wooden bell tower that stands in front of the church. The fine interior of this 13th century church contains the highest box pews on the Marsh and a double decker-pulpit complete with sounding board. A medieval wall painting of the murder of Archbishop Thomas Becket survives in the southeast chapel, and an ancient font is still in use in the nave.

St George is an exceptionally large parish church measuring 40.5m (133ft) in length, reflecting the prestige of its patrons, the archbishops of Canterbury. The beautifully carved 15th century choir stalls remain, and an octagonal Kentish rag stone font of the same period. Ivychurch has long been associated with smugglers and this large church was used to store their contraband.

At 60.7m (199ft) All Saints is the longest parish church in Kent and its 15th century tower is one of the tallest in the county with a height of 40.2m (132ft). This grand church is known locally as the Cathedral of the Marsh. A place of worship has existed here for over 1,500 years or more. The remains of a 4th or 5th century Romano-British basilica are incorporated into the walls.

The nave retains its original low Norman arcades with alternating round and octagonal Caen stone piers. The grand 14th century east end is spacious and light by comparison, with three magnificent reticulated tracery windows. The carved door surround of the Norman west door has been restored. The beautiful tower above it was built in stages.

It is possible that a small private chapel stood on this site before the present building was commenced in the late 13th century. Declared redundant in 1983, St Augustine is now entirely maintained by the Romney Marsh Historic Churches Trust. The east end has an unusually large Lady Chapel (more recently used as a school room). The church is famous for its springtime show of daffodils.
