Help to preserve Romney Marsh’s medieval churches for future generations - become a member of The Romney Marsh Historic Churches Trust today. You can now join online.

There are many benefits to joining The Romney Marsh Historic Churches Trust, most notably the knowledge that your membership is contributing to the preservation of these unique and ancient buildings. Due to the small and geographically-isolated rural communities that these churches serve, several churches may be at risk of closure or disrepair if not for the work of the Trust. We fund essential building conservation work, as well as activities to educate people about the fascinating history of these cherished buildings.   

Our members enjoy news from the Trust, with a comprehensive mailing twice a year, in the Spring and the Autumn. As well as reports about our work, members will receive invitations to attend the Annual General Meeting and the Members’ lunch, and news about other events. The high-profile speakers at our AGM often attract large audiences! Members also receive an order form for Christmas cards.

Each year we run a Members’ Tour of the churches, led by very knowledgeable guides. Our events offer the chance to meet like-minded people who all share an interest in the Romney Marsh churches.

Membership costs surprisingly little. Single membership in the UK costs only £15 per year, or £7.50 for a student/over 60. Alternatively, couples can subscribe for £20 per year, or £10 if both over 60. Over-60s can also opt for Life Membership for a one-off donation of £100.
