Join JAM President Paul Mealor, Artistic Director John Frederick Hudson, and Festival Curator Edward Armitage (pictured) for an informal conversation exploring the themes and ideas that flow through this year’s festival programme. Raise a glass as they discuss artistic highlights, new commissions, and the creative spirit behind the 2025 festival.
Music is at the heart of JAM on the Marsh. St Nicholas’ Church at New Romney will host events with London Tango Quintet; pianists Jonathan Dove and Thomas Kelly; percussionist Beibei Wang; Kosmos Ensemble; a cabaret programme; and Britten Sinfonia.
St George’s Church Ivychurch will provide the perfect setting for Violinist Igor Yuzefovich, Leader of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, while All Saints’ Church at Lydd will see the return of The King’s Singers.
Just off the marsh at St Leonard’s Hythe, don’t miss the BBC Singers, organist Daniel Cook, Sarah MacDonald and Selwyn College Choir.
Changeling Theatre, one of Kent’s favourite and irreverent outdoor theatre companies, returns to New Romney’s Old School Garden, with Shakespear’s Twelfth Night. Bring a picnic and a chair, and enjoy outdoor theatre at its most playful and flamboyant.
There are also plenty of opportunities to get involved, with a printmaking workshop at The Assembly Rooms in New Romney and a collage-storytelling workshop at Marsh Academy.
From intimate solo performances to large-scale choral and orchestral concerts, JAM offers something free or affordable for every taste.
