Snave Annual Thanksgiving service

Sunday 8th September 3pm

St Augustine, Snave is a redundant church and just one service per year is permitted by the terms under which the Romney Marsh Historic Trust holds St Augustine’s.

The Trust has continued the longstanding Snave custom of celebrating Harvest Festival Evensong on the second Sunday of September every year. It is the Trust’s own service of thanksgiving, both for harvest and for the Trust’s work among all the churches of the Romney Marsh. Canon John Dilnot will lead the service and a four-part choir will lead the music.

Without electricity or water, just the simple beauty of our ancient hidden historic landmark, please do come along and join us in in this very special service. It will start at 3pm on Sunday 8th September 2019. Refreshments will follow with a chance for the Trustees and community to chat over a cup of tea.

We do hope you are able to come along and share in Snave’s annual opportunity to come to life again.
