Coming Up at the Churches of the Romney Marsh

These events are worth highlighting as important dates for the calendar where the churches play host to something very special.

East Guldeford Harvest Festival – 7 October 2018

A Harvest Festival Thanks and Praise service with Pet Service (combined with St Thomas’s Camber) will be held at St Mary, East Guldeford at 10:30 am on 7 October 2018. Everyone and their pets will be welcome.
From 11:30am until 3pm you are invited to pop in to admire the display, have a chat and enjoy some tea and cake.
If you would like to contribute produce to help decorate the church please come along to the church at 3pm on Saturday 6 October.

St Mary in the Marsh Commemoration Evening – Saturday 3 November

To mark the relocation of the War Memorial Plaque, a special commemorative evening is being held at St Mary the Virgin on Saturday 3 November 2018 at 9:30pm. This will consist of prose, poetry and song around the lives of the three men named on the war memorial plaque and who died in 1915 and 1916. At the end there will be a brief act of re-dedication.

Admission is free, though there will be a retiring collection for service charities. Light refreshments will be served after the service.

Brenzett Christmas Service – 25 December 2018

A Christmas Communion service will be held at St Eanswith, Brenzett at 9am on 25 December 2018 which unusually will include carols. The church will be heated and all are welcome to one of the smallest and prettiest churches on the Marsh.
